FAMILY SESSION - FAQ

There is only one set cost involved with your family session: the sitting fee. The sitting fee is $150 and covers the cost of the shooting time. Your paid session fee is how you book your session and hold your time.

The rest of what you spend on your images and products is completely up to you. Most of our clients spend between $300 to $1200 on their images and products.

That depends on the look and feel you want in your images.

If you want warm tones, deep yellows, orange and reds. Schedule your session between September to November.

If you want greens, blues and cooler colors. Schedule April thru August.

If you want winter outdoor images, its just a matter of Mother Nature dropping some snow.

If you have a location you would like to shoot your session that is no problem. If you do not have a location I have many locations that will be prefect for your session.

In two words… BE YOU! Your family images should celebrate your amazing family and who you are.

If you are a casual family, be casual. We shoot more family sessions in jeans than anything else. If you are a fancy family be fancy. There is nothing wrong with getting super dressed up for your session.

Most people take their family pictures every 3 to 5 years. This is why it is so important the portraits hanging in your home are true to you as a family.

We have photographed families of three up to families of fifty. The base session fee is for up to an eight single family unit. If your group is more than eight or if we will be shoot multiple families at the same session we will give a custom quote your group. 

YES!!!! The furry ones in your life are family too. Our families have brought horses, dogs and cats to their shoots.

We have every shape, size and type of print a client could ever want. But, you can absolutely purchase digital files for print! The digital files we sell come formatted at 8x12 at 300 dpi. The files come with full printing rights and print release. 

We do not sell printable files over 8x12.

After your shoot we schedule a time for you to come to the studio and do an in-person view session. At the view session we go through the images and you pick what you would like to purchase. The images will NOT be edited. Images are edited after you make your order.

You get one view session per shoot. Whoever is choosing images needs to be present at the view session. If someone who is choosing images can not be there and we have to do another view session there will be a $250 charge for the additional view session. 

We have a wide range of options for you! We offer full rights digital files, our signature line of paper prints, metal prints, acrylic prints as well as canvas.

We have a six week turnaround. We do offer rush service if you need your images and products sooner.

We understand life gets crazy and stuff happens. If you have to move your shoot to another day you just have to let us know 48 hours before your shoot. 

If move your shoot within 48 hours of your session, the session might not be able to be moved and your session fee will be forfeited.

Sitting fee WILL NOT be refunded for session cancelations.
